Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born into a music-loving family. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Following her singing lessons with mom and sister, she began more intense training in vocals at age 16 under the tutelage of renown Mexican Tenor FlavioBecerra. She furthered her training in music through the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. She sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in traditional Latin American music at private events. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community because of her love and passion for music. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as well being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing classic Latin American songs and hopes to encourage other people to follow in her footsteps.
